new gears again...

Hey all, I have the option of buying a set of 3.55 from my buddy for real cheap. Now I have 3.07 currently with 32x11.5x15 tires. Its a dog but I can travel at high speeds on the freeway. Oh yeah, I've got the c-6 transmission with 351W. I know that the 3.55 will put me at the lowest gas saver level on that gear ratio chart. How much of a difference in power am I going to feel with 3.73's compared to 3.55's.thanks.

new gears again...

I'm Running 33x12.5 tires with 4.10 gear ratio both front & back. I, also, have the 351 with the E40D Tranny. It gets up & goes when needed, and has a lot of power. The only draw back is that I only get about 10 to 11 miles to the gallon. But, I just had the tranny rebuilt, so the mileage may be off a little, I think it's just the break in period, so it's too soon to tell, yet. I diffenitely have a lot more power than the stock 3.55 gear ratio. The 3.73s will do better on gas mileage. But my rig is mostly a weekend toy. I currently have a smaller truck that gets over 20 miles a gallon, that I use for commuting to & from work.

Hope this helps
