ugh.

My front differential is leaking from the ends of both axle shafts and from the pinion seal. how do the seals on the shafts work? like, how many, where are they, what do thay look like? oh, 79 bronco, stock d44.

You might check to see that your vent or hose on the vent from the differential isn't plugged. On a 79, you probably do need new seals, but if the vent is plugged you will get leaks at the seals when the diff heats up during use if the vent is plugged.

I second the vent, its unusual for all the seals to start leaking at the same time.

Even if it is thge vent I would still replace the seals. If they are as old as your truck it would be a good idea. Also, when your in there, replace the bearings. I have a 95 and just had all the seals and bearings replaced on my entire drive train. I was also upgrading my gears so it was easy just to add that to the upgrade.
