9" lubricant amount

How many pints of lubricant does a 9" diff hold? I have a new diff in my 55 effie. What are your opinions of Lucas lubricants?

Thanks!

My '65 Ford shop manual says 5 pints. That is how much to buy. Fill until level with the filler hole & no more.

Don't forget if it's a traction loc rear to put in a bottle of ford friction modifier. It keeps the clutch packs from chattering.
