Is it a crime?
Criteria:
I will be living in Anchorage, AK (AWD/4x4 would be nice)
Gas Mileage is not a factor
I have no reason to tow anything
Price limit is at $45K (for now, cheaper is better)
The purchase will be made in about 1 year.
I am going to Korea for a year in April 2003, and I hear I can get a decent deal through Military Car Sales (American makes only). I will try and test this out.
My Dad owns a Mid-90s Ford F250 Extended Cab with the PSD. I absolutely love it! Since I have been looking at new trucks, F250s are everywhere.
My first pick is a Crew Cab King Ranch 4x4 with the PSD.

EDIT: Well that figures, the stupid smilies with the thumbs up don't work.
No Way!!!!! I wouldn't feel guilty at all for owning what I want. I feel you don't need to have a reason to own something other than you want to have it. I'm sure liberal, tree-huggin', save the whales kind of people would want you to, at least, have a reason, but I say go for and enjoy.
P.S. Can you get the King Ranch on the SD??????
