How to tell? the sticker in my door jamb is no longer legible. I assume it is the E4OD b/c of the push button on the gear selector, but want to be sure. Am I correct?
I have a 95 F150 with a 302 and a AODE it has the push button. They used E40D I think on 300 351 and some 302 trucks. Yours is probably an AODE. If it has an aluminum drive shaft then it definitely does. If it has a regular drive shaft then it could be either. The AODE has a smaller pan than the E40D. Hope this helps a little.

Probably not, but you can look at the oilpan (tranny oilpan, that is) and tell for sure.
The AOD pan is much shorter than the E4OD pan; E4OD is about 20" long, the AOD about 15".
