there is a recall on 88-91 ford vehicles. the ignitions switches melt, and cause potential fire problems. many have already been replaced by the dealer, but many have been replaced with faulty units. mine was replaced with a faulty unit, and i lost my bronco, that i had spent tons of time and money fixing. this is what it is, and this is what it is now.

now i got a 92 351, detroit, with dana 44 solid w/ARB 36x14.50 TSL radials. waiting on 8 inch lift.
any dealer should be able to tell you.

So a Ford dealer will replace this on my 90 Bronco for free? And if they are fire hazards, but it could end up being replaced with a faulty switch that could burn my Bronco which otherwise is not burned, should I even bother? I mean that my switch may not be bad, but I could go to the dealer and get one that is bad, so my chances remain exactly the same by not doing anything!
Sorry JBronco, your reasoning is seriously flawed. Ford is aware of the problem and will replace the switch w/a new and improved version; that's kinda the concept behind a recall
