I'm gathering information about my 1998 4.6L F-150 Engine.
I may be swapping it out soon.
The 8th character in my VIN # is W Romeo or Windsor?
There is a motor ID Number. Where is it?
The valve cover is labeled with a bar code Sticker it says 7G842AA
does that mean anything to me?
The sticker is also dated 3/13/98.
Any good longblock suppliers?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
I'm pretty sure the W actually stands for Romeo. The sticker will say Windsor if it is one. The 7G842AA is a calibration number I believe. The engine was assembles 3/13/98.
Try pricing a longblock at your local Ford dealer, it may not be as bad as you think. Jasper engines have a pretty good warranty.
