reverse sensing system
my sister just bought an 04 limited and the rss worked fine the until late last night. now it will not work. if you start the truck and leave it in park will turn on but as soon as we put it in reverse it beeps once and shuts off. i checked the fuse it is fine and i also tried un-hooking the battery for a couple of minutes cause i thought it was just the computer went stupid for a minute. has anyone else had any problems with this system.
also when i looked to find out what transmission the truck had the door stickers says "v" but the owners manual doesn't list a v as an option. what kind is it. what is an axle 45 also

i don't get a cel. when i put it in drive the little indicator light on the dash lights up and says off, saying the system is turned off.
i did a search and came up with the idea that a sensor died. so now i have to figure out how to get the old sensors out to check them or tell her to take it to a dealership and have them fix it. personally i would rather fix it myself.
