I have a 2000 Ford Explorer 2dr sport with factory fog lights . I wanted to know how to wire the fog lights so they come on with marker lights ... does anyone know how ????

I am hunting the instructions on this. I know we had them around somewhere - just have to find them.

Basically, the relay box is under your air filter box. I have to find the specific wire for it, but you tap it and run a wire to your foglights from there.

Let me keep looking... I know it is around here somewhere....

You need a relay. The relay will have two coil contacts, one POS and one NEG (polarity doesn't matter) It will also have at least two (normally open) switch contacts. (depending on the relay you choose.)
Connect one side of the coil to NEG (or chassis ground) and the other side of the coil to the POS wire of your parking lights.
Then connect one of the N.O. (normally open) switch contacts to the POS battery. Make sure you use a fuse, as close to the battery as possible! The last connection goes from the remaining relay contact to the POS wire(s) of your fog light.
NOTE: Any 12 volt SPST relay that is rated for the current your lights will draw will work. Nothing special there. Not even rocket science. Let me know if you want me to send a drawing.

Well... I've lost the write-up here, so I will have to make another one.

Here is a link to directions on how to do it also. It is a little long because it started on a '97 model, but I think it will get you in the right direction anyway.

kf4sci's way will also work. It is fairly simple no matter which way you do it...

My 2001 and 2003 4dr XLT's both have fog lights that work with the parking lights. I know the '03 was that way from the factory, cause we bought it new. I bought the '01 used so I don't know. But anyhow, is this unusual? I just figured they all worked that way.
