Does anyone know what the performance numbers ( zero to 60mph and/or quarter mile times) are for a stock F150 SuperCrew Lariat 4x4 w/the 5.4L?
I was guessing the factory figures would be about a 16.8 quarter mile.
I know figures can vary greatly from vehicle to vehicle, but couldn't find a 0-60 estimate anywhere. Edmunds.com is my usual site of choice for vehicle information but the didn't post a 0-60 time. My '99 Expedition w/5.4 is posted at 10.0 flat 0-60 . . . it seems slower than my '02 Lariat. I think that may be because of the Expy doesn't have a 2H setting, just AWD which engauges the front hubs when I jump on it. The F150 will spin the rear tires at launch, but proper launch is just enough to beat the Expy.
Thanks!
Todd

Just put in my first tank tonight 580 miles (dealer filled the first one)
A couple of magazine tests I've read for the 2002 supercab FX 5.4L(4x4)are 0 to 60 in 9.1 in one test and 9.3 in another. Don't know the 1/4 times. Your expy is probably heavier that the F150.
The 1999 was with the 260hp engine - I waited just for that (I bought it 8/7/1998 first one to hit the Ford dealership in my area).
I'm not sure if the Expy was heavier, I can't find a weight figure for it. The F150 is 5005 pounds (about 600 more than I thought it would be).
a 9.1-9.3 would correlate to about a 16.9-17.4 quarter mile time . . . not good enough to beat even the inept PT Cruiser. I'm going to have to buy the chip programer and exhaust kit before I take on my dad. . . . I'm going to postpone our race a week (sick kid excuse will be needed).
