Eliminate spam e-mails?

Eliminate spam e-mails?
Somehow my e-mail address was sold or given to every waco in the world that now sends me offers to "grow my male member" or "buy my meds online".
Is there anyway to eliminate this junk mail?

Depending on your ISP and what mail client you're using, there are spam blockers and junk mail filters, but really your best bet would be to get a new address for personal correspondence, and keep your old one (or set up a new, freebie one) for whenever you need to provide an e-mail address.

I get the same ones you do but I am fortunate that my ISP blocks all of them and sends them to a spam folder on their servers. I open the folder from time to time to make sure they haven't blocked one that's not spam. I just glance at the email address. After a period of so many days, my ISP deletes them.

Yahoo does a decent job. I see quite a few junk e-mails in my inbox, but I virtually never see any false positives. My spam folder has over 8000 items in it right now, and things are only in there for a week. So I get over a 1000 junk e-mails a day.

Yep, I've got 3. One for forums/internet purchases, one for random sites that require one and will send lots of junk. The 3rd is a Gmail account reserved just for friends and family. I have yet to receive one item of spam in the year or so that I've had it.
Yahoo has not been as kind to me on junking trustworthy emails. A few forum "activation required" emails have been dumped into bulk.
