Heres my 2002. If anyone can remember, I was the idiot about a year ago that ran into my dads brand new 06 tundra because I was too busy talking on the phone and not paying attention when iw as following him.Well Ive learned my lesson! My whole front end had to get replaced. Headlights,Corners, grill, bumper etc.Well here it is today, fixed and looking good.I just wanted to see if I could get anyone opinion on what they like or dislike about it. Ive done some minor things like tires, wheels, stero system, ram intake and a topper thats about it. Im not really fond of the topper but I haul lots of things in the back and nothing gets wet when it rains .Well heres the pics, and let me kno if anyone has anymore ideas, opinons, or suggestions.
Travis
P.S. Check out the sticker on the back window ahahaa.Everyone here drives like a dick most of the time so I figured Id let them kno
what is this adapter? been thinkin bout doin my own intake system for my 03. was thinkin about some hood scoops that fed an intake such as the one above. but for now, probably just the intake. saw some stuff at autozone but wasnt sure. the kits are so expensive for these trucks even online! thanks.
If you have anything later than a '95 or '96 (can't recall which one at the moment), the adaptor kits are quite simple, less than $15, and available on eBay (search "Ford Ranger intake").
Note they WILL fit earlier Rangers, as the MAF has the same bolt pattern, BUT it points the dry filter right into the coolant/windsheild washer fluid reservoirs, not much use there! I just bought some tubing from Autozone and made my own intake to hold me over until I can get a pipe for it.
Yah he got pretty pissed, go figure lol. Thankfully I hit his towing hitch and not the actaul bumper.Sure messed my truck though. Twisted the bumper into my drivers front tire and had to drive 3 miles until we stopped at Golden Corral. To this day I still have the groove. But yah he was pissed. I still remeber him telling me that he should use my head to pry the bumper ahh.And then u got all the people in the restuant watching my dad pull my bumper out with his truck. That was a intresting dinner.GREAT day for me.Spent money for grad party on parts.
Yah sure did. I got mine off ebay. Cost a whole 10 bucks for the adapter and filter.I wanted a chrome tube, but just think they want too much money for what it actaully does.I mean its not a V8 so its not gonna be that affective, but u never know. I just took the lid off the factory box and put it on. Then secured it with some zip ties. Its not really cold air but more ram.Where did u route the tubing for cold air? I hardly see any room thee beside beween the radiaitor and the air box?
It still works like cold air when your moving at 60 mph as long as the filter is up against the opening. The air will come rushing into the filter from outside when your at speed. Sitting still it may get some warm engine air, but moveings when it counts. Good thing you hit his hitch, you might have totaled his toyota other wise ha ha.
