I just want CJ to understand that my heads aren't blow and by far I wasn't begging Ford for a warranty.. I agree to the terms that were put fourth to me about running my SCT and my warranty. if I blow my Heads because they can't hold then I'll accept the charges.. But if something fails and the Tuner didn't cause it.. My service manager will warranty it..

Believe me.. I'm all for what I break I pay.. Otherwise I would never have put that tuner in.. But after talking to Leroy (Diesel Tech) and Maximum 4X4.. What I thought was "Puking" was infact the wrong description... I misunderstood the threads about Puking that I researched.. It was truly just a bad Degas Bottle Cap that was causing my coolant to spill.. Plus Leroy said whoever filled that bottle filled it too high.. I never touched it since I bought the truck in January 07..

bear hunter, I am just wondering what kind of mileage you get outta that rig. I've an 04 HD PSD, and want to grow it some, but would like to get an idea of the mileage implications. thanks

OK I have to ask (having a 2003 6.0 PSD CC FX4 LWB) that is stock (and I know this has probably been said/asked 100 times) how bad are the headbolts and gasket on these if I ever decide (when warranty is gone) to mod it with a tuner (and appropriate monitoring of EGT, etc)

TIA, and if you refer me to posts that's cool too.

They are bad.. Supposedly you can run a tuner mild without too much trouble but if you start pushign boost and injection.. It can get dangerous.. In theory everyone says replace them if a tuner goes in.. They are a pita to do.. You either pull the cab or pull the engine.. No room in these 6.0's to work..

Storm,
don
Are you getting new rims and tires? If so what size? Also I'm playing with bring my truck to Marty and those guys, since no one in my area sells DR let alone let them do the install, to put a DR 4.5" with 4 link on, but now I'm second guessing the 4.5 and think I want the 6 or 7" with 4 link. I plan to only go to 35 or 36" tires. Trying to find a good deal on the Pro Comp 9001 in the Knight Chrome for rims but Marty said they don't do Pro Comps. Love those rims they'd be so sweet in 20" on a black truck!
