My '83 Bronco driver's side door sags. So, when I close it, I have to pick up the door to allow it to meet the door pin. What can I do to fix this and where can I get the parts? Someone told me the lower hinge pin needs to be replaced, but the Ford Dealership doesn't carry or list one for the '83 Bronco or F150. Help?
Or just go to a yard and get some hinges, esp if your rubber stopper thingy (technical term) that keeps the door propped open has broken, you'll want a new hinge assy anyway. I just replaced mine on my '90 and it's SOOOO nice to be able to open the door and have it stay open LOL. Used a hinge from a '96 BTW - I wouldnt' be surprised if all hinges '80-96 will interchange.
Go to your local Pep Boys or other parts discounter. They carry the hinge pin kits in the Motormite HELP! section. I believe they sell for around $5.00 to $7.00 per kit. Be sure to replace both the top and bottom pins at the same time.
