factory stereo removal
Ok guys,
I'm having trouble figuring out how to remove the
factory stereo from a 1992 Eddie Bauer Bronco...
I don't see how the sucker is secured or how to release the old stereo. Can anybody help me out?
TYou need this Ford radio remocal U shaped "tool".....or a similarly sized and shaped piece of metal clothes hanger wire:

avail at wal mart, stero shops, etc.
..insert U shaped tools gently till each clicks; this "opens" the retaining clips on each side of radio
then push both tools to the outside (away from the radio)
and then drag that stereo out (with the tools still pushed outward);
disconnect the antenna, wiring harness(es)
........
here is Kevin's site on repacing the stock radio:

..............
this site is down now, but shows the complete job with pics, wiring harness colors, etc.:
