factory stereo removal
Rick,
TYou need this Ford radio remocal U shaped "tool".....or a similarly sized and shaped piece of metal clothes hanger wire:

avail at wal mart, stero shops, etc.
..insert U shaped tools gently till each clicks; this "opens" the retaining clips on each side of radio
then push both tools to the outside (away from the radio)
and then drag that stereo out (with the tools still pushed outward);
disconnect the antenna, wiring harness(es)
........
