Yesterdays Tulsa World caried a story with some interesting news re: buried 57 Plymouth. Apparently Boyd Coddington has inquired about doing something with the AHR show revolving around the event. Also there is rampant rumors saying that the car has already been removed from the vault. The ladie that is in charge of this deal for the city was on a local talk show this am. She said the reason behind that rumor is that they did indeed dig up and move the other buried car [breaking new coming up] and that is why some people think the 57 was moved. It is a prototype Plymouth Prowler.Centennial Park

A centennial time capsule, interred on Jan. 17, 1998, in honor of the City's 100th birthday, is buried at Centennial Park. The time capsule, scheduled to be unearthed in the year 2048, includes items such as a prototype of the 1998 Plymouth Prowler, a City of Tulsa Financial Report, student essays on what Tulsa will be like in the year 2048 and Tulsa restaurant menus.
Lets see, I will be 103 when that comes around, hey I'm watching that also. There is also NO information available as to the specifics of the encasement. they just discovered that it has three lids by viewing some negatives provided by the family of a guy that took pictures. Typical city gov. I guess. More to come as info becomes available. Joe
