Very nice work, my friend! I love everything--except for that ugly stinkin' Mopar engine yer about to cram in it! Seriously, though, to each his own, it's gonna be awesome. Just not a "darksider" myself...
hay guys thanks 4 the feed back, i know that mopar is not the peoples choice but i like it 4 now 1 thing 4 sure it will get up an go! an if i ever change it wont b a chevy it will b back 2 ford. oh also stand by an ill get more pics of those fenders, well back 2 work thanks again, hay 1 more thing did uall like how i boxed the fram in ? thanks again
Thanks...I think it looks good. What are your plans for the cut edges? Are you just going to leave it as is or would it be better to trim a bit more off (1/8 of an inch or so) and dress the edge with something as a buffer...I don't know if that is making sense or not but in my mind I am thinking that there would need to be a slight gap between the fender and the cut portion left attached to the truck ...or opening and closing the front end would be a delicate operation if not done very slow and carefully. Maybe some kind of c-channel weatherstrip material as a buffer? I am just thinking outloud...

yes your rite ,its not done i was thinking of boxing in the piece thats stays on the cab,so when its open it looks clean an finished. if thats makes any sence? also on the fender it self put a lip of some sort .iam thinking of about 1/4 in gap an some kind of weather striping in between. also thinking of some shocks like the kind that come out on the back lift gate of a van,or the hood of some cars?to help lift the front a little easyer. any input thanks
Yeah, that is what I was talking about...I think it will come out good. That is along the lines of what I want to do too. Glad to see someone doing the same thing...
The electric actuators seem to be a good choice to lift it. John's full tilt article shows this pretty well. That is how I might try and rig it.

I'm still interested Ax, just PM me where to send the money and how much you figured for shipping and I will add it to the price you had given me for the hinges themselves.
