Well I bought an 89 F250HD supercab long bed w/ a big ol' 460 in er' off a lady I work with for only $800 it was her husbands but he passed a couple yrs back so the truck sat in her driveway for over a yr without being started up so I finally got the ignition and everything fixed then had to get an extension on emissions because it had no tailpipe just a cherrybomb and nothin so I brought it to the shop put on a tail pipe and tip w/ no muffler and it sounds really good but anyways got to emissions this mornin after I put 2 bottles of Heet in the tank and she passed no problem I thought for sure she was going to fail. My father in law told me about the heet since he has done it to every vehicle he has had and sure **** I guess it works. Just thought id let yall know
It is a fuel additive.
I have heard that in some states they have some kind of inspection and with two bottles of heat in the tank the truck will pass a lot easier.
it is pure alcohol and it is made to use to remove water from the fuel tank and systome so it wont freeze up in the winter. I have used it for that and it works good. but I dont have a clue if it will help with emissions inspections. I will let some of the experts answer that

Did you add the 2 bottles to a full tank? Just wondering how much gas was in there so it doesn't get too diluted.
alcohol in the heat addative has lots of oxygen in it. It will help remove water, but can also help destroy the lining in fuel tanks and can make the engine run lean (more oxygen than fuel) which is why it may pass an emmisions test.
