Mass Air Conversion
During this summer I swap out my tired old 302 for a 306 I built with a health cam and heads. I am also installed headers and a nice cat back system, reworked the EFI manifold and went from a 5 speed Mazda to a C6 transmission. I have about 3000 miles on the motor so far and everything seems to run well. Except for Idle. It is in desperate need of a Mass Air Conversion Kit.
I have been looking at the FRPP Kit. So far I have found it for 619 dollars. Where is the cheapest some one has gotten the kit for? Where did you get the kit from? Has anyone done this swap with Salvage yard parts? If so what is needed and involved in the swap.

the 2001 Ford Racing catalog ($5.00) lists this kit for both manual, AOD and E4OD trucks/broncos from 87 to 93s; w/5.8'..5.0's..etc

truck/bronco kit includes:
eec-iv:
mass air proc. module assy
jumper wire harness w/sefi engine overlay
maf sensor w/air box lid, hoses, clamps
Ford says: "-Converts production "speed density" system to "mass airflow" system which directly measures engine airflow and supports engine modifications.
-This kit is required before making ANY performance modifications to engine and powertrain of EFI trucks. Some California trucks have mass air. NOTE: Designed for 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 firing order.
*Not legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled motor vehicles."
..notes that you have to call ford tech "hot line" for 5.8 instructions (think it's initially set-up for 5.0 firing order)

$675.00 for manual..pn M-9000-T50 (5.0..ask for 5.8 info)
$750.00 for auto...pn M-9000-T51 AOD only (5.0..ask for 5.8/..and E4OD info..if applicable)
