What these Codes really mean?
Hello, this is my first post. Yesterday the check engine light came on and I used my Superchip to see if I could pull any codes. Well I got 3 codes: 01-P0344, 02-P1316 and 03-P0113. Are these an easy fix or is something broke? The only mods are intake, exhaust and a superchip (which I just bought and set to first setting due to no gauges yet). Hopefully someone can tell me the meaning of these. Oh and my truck is a 03, 6-speed, c.c., 4x4. Thanks<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com

P0113 - Intake air temp sensor circuit high input. Check the connections at the sensor. It's located on the air filter box. You can also clear this code and see if it pops back up. If not, then it was a fluke code. If it does come back, then you may need a new sensor.
P0344 - Camshaft position sensor intermittent. Replace your CPS before you end up stranded on the side of the road. The cheapest prices are on Ebay, you can pick one up there for around $50. The next best place to get one is from an International dealer. Just ask for the cam position sensor for a t444e.
P1316 - IDM codes detected. This can be several things. The main thing is you still have more codes to pull, but they are stored in the IDM itself. Your Superchip tuner cannot retrieve them. You must have a diagnostic tool that can peform an injector buzz test to pull the IDM codes. The cause of these codes can be something as simple as a loose UVC harness clip, or you could have bad injectors or a bad IDM. By pulling the IDM codes, it will point you exactly which injector or bank of injectors is having the issue.
There's quite a few Texans on this board. If someone who lives close to Belton has Autoenginuity, they can easily retrieve those IDM codes for you. If not, you can purchase AE from here: http://www.itpdiesel.com/store.php?c...on=show_detail . All you need is a laptop. Make sure you get the Total Ford Bundle, it's about $340 for everything.
