Anyone ever run hummer tires?...I was looking at some bias hummer tires made by Goodyear and some radial ones made by good year but not sure how good they are on the road and mud and rain and how long they last.there load range C whatever that is?are these tires true to size?how do these tires handle on the road and highway also?I also notice there are 2 kinds GOODYEAR WRANGLER RT II MILITARY OZ TIRES and Wrangler R/T Goodyear not sure what the difference is?

I have those. They work well for me, haven't gotten stuck with them (yet..). They are a bias tire, so they hum, they pull where the roads feels like taking them, and they don't balance well. I haven't run any other tires on this truck yet so I don't have anything to compare them to, but I like them. The radial will probably behave a little better on the road. I don't drive enough miles to tell you how well they wear though, my truck is mostly an offroad truck.
i just got rid of my RT II's, theyre so-so. decent in the mud, a little loud on the street and they do pull, but for $450 for a set of 4, how much do you expect
I run them on my 79 on the Hummer wheels with the runflats inside them at 30psi and I like 'em, like everyone else has said they hum and go where the road takes them but I paid $150 for 5 tires and wheels with about 75% tread. When these are worn out I'll replace them with the same
Im going to off road these tires and drive them on the street for a daily driver.I can get 4 for 275 plus about 100 to ship not bad pretty cheap I need 5 though need a spare just in case.I dont see why they dont balance well there only 12.50s wide.Do any of you guys have pics of those tires on your trucks?sure would love to see some pics before I go buy them.thanks
I also am running the rt2s, and "for the price" love them. I really liked my SSRs, but about 1.5 of them will buy a set of goodyears. For an offroad truck, I think they are a good buy, but might suck on a DD.
yeah I dont mind if they humm im use to that all my tires humm.but you say they pull on the street from side to side?thanks for posting the pics of them captian.yeah for the price its a really good deal i think.
.but you say they pull on the street from side to side?
Not sure where you got that, but it is somewhat true. All bias tires seem to sort of wander a little. That being said, I think these are MUCH better on the street than other bias tires (my experience is limited to swampers) I read somewhere that the center rib was their attempt to reduce that. I think it works, to a degree.
Edit: as you can see, I have been here for almost 4 years, but still can't get a pic to show up in my post. What's wrong?
I ran them on my truck for about a year, they did quite well off road, I have no complaints. On the road, once they warmed up, they were great. I put 2500 km's on them on the highway without any problems (several trips). They were suprisingly smooth and the hum was negligable, no pull even on bad northern highways. Got rid of them because I didn't want to run them in the winter. Sould have kept them.
