what would be the narrowest wheel you would put them on? and does anybody know what width the HMMWV wheels are? if only you could get them in a bolt pattern for our trucks, that would be pretty sweet.
And as a testament to their strength, with the run flat in, While i was in Iraq we punctured a tire out on mission just after the vehicle with the spares had to run off to another area, so we drove it about 3 miles back to base and I was expecting it to be shredded by the time we got back, but no damage to the wheel or tire, they plugged it put it back on the road. pretty cool, i thought. but none of it was on highway, that would have probably been worse, it was all sand

I have them in the red truck in my gallery. I love these tires and ended up buying another 2 sets for my bronco and crewcab. I have gotten stuck in mud with them but I don't have lockers so partly my fault. They really are not to noisey and I don't find that they wander unless there are grooves or low/high spots in the road...then they follow that a little. I run a stockton 16.5" x 9.75" on 5 x 5.5. I really enjoy the tires but I wish they were bigger. On a DD/mild offroader they are fantastic! I don't know anybody that does hardcore offroad with them...but I am slowly getting there. Oh and in the rear I have to run like 22psi b/c otherwise the tire footprint doesn't touch the ground completely, run 26psi in the front, have the 4.9L.
ya I run the 36x12.5x 16.5 wrangler RT/2's on my truck as a daily driver They really arent loud a little humm a little choppy until they warm up have a bit of a pull not bad in the mud and to balance them I used about 8 oz. of airsoft pellets nobody thought it would work but they are smooth on the highway and i've put about 4000 miles on em since I got them, and picked them up for 150 for all four all are about 3/4 worn and I'm ordering more from california 100% never on a vehicle for 300 including shipping, not a bad deal at all I love em
Welcome... I see you found the search function already.
You should post up some specs on your rig, and start talking to all the guys around here in some of the off-topic threads like the Mall Crawler or BFG A/Ts Suck threads.
Got the bias plys on the Crew Cab and been running with them on the street for a couple of months now, pics in my gallery. Even towed the travel trailer this summer. They do hum, they do wander, and now that it is getting cold, the flat spot is real noticeable! Haven't tried them offroad yet, don't want to get the aluminum mag dirty......holy crap. it's becoming a mall crawler!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, I don't mind them, have to keep at the ready for their wander, never quite sure where they are gong to track. Next set will probably be Toyo MTs.
When I was stationed at fort hood we used to try and get the hmmvs stuck by driving down the tank trails and through all the huge ruts they leave behind... never happened, them trucks and tires are designed to go to hell and back. I drove close to 20,000 miles worth of convoys in iraq and I don't think I ever changed my tires, maybe once. They're good, if you can find them on the cheap I'm jealous!
I did a bit of looking actually a cou[ple of months and found a company in North Carolina, damn I don't remember the name of it... I'll have to look for the receipt and get back to you on that... but I was told by my buddy to look for I think it was a DRMVO they are usually near military bases, you can usually get them really cheap but i'll definately look for that company's name
I've heard that the radials are better onroad, they eliminate the flat spot in the cold, and the wander. Offroad they are said to not be very good. I have nothing to back up this comparison, just what I've read in other forums.
