Emission Light/Spark Plugs

With in the last month my 1986 Bronoc XLT 5.0 Liter FIE has died twice the only way to get it going both times was to change the spark plugs. I assume they were fouled so bad they needed replacing.
Well its running again (knock on wood) and this time the emission light is on any suggestion to wants wrong and how do i get this light to turn off

Have you tried to run any codes on your Bronco to see what it's telling you?

Not yet have to get a code reader somewhere somehow.
Any suggestions to which one is better.

Just use a piece of wire. It's cheap and easy. Here's a link for directions. It's for a mustang, but the process and codes are the same.

You can get a code-reader at C.T. or Wal-Mart has them now.

I live in the thriving metropolis of Rosemary which is about hour and half straight east of Calgary. If you know where Bassano is Im about 20 minutes East of there.
