Fuel Filter?
Ok my 83 6.9 doesnt have the stock fuel filter on it. It has the 7.3 style bowl type fuel filter. I can't seem to find the filter element anywhere here in town, and im trying to find one. The brand it has on there is an interceptor. was this a typical modification to the 6.9 as an alternative to the stock water fuel separator system?

not sure if that's a replacement mod, but wix makes a filter that car quest sells, if that helps. BTW, what kind of filter is it that you've got that eliminates the water separater? i would like to get rid of the water separater filter on my 7.3.

it doesnt eliminate the water separator, the 6.9 has the water separator on the firewall on the drivers side. This filter is the bowl type, I think the stock 7.3 type. but yah ill get the part number when I can.....
