I'm just hoping the Canucks make it out of the first round.
Being a Stars fan, I'm hoping Vancouver does NOT make it out of the first round.... Although, Marty Turco does seem to have a history of choking at the worst possible time.
since we have no NHL team in NewEngland, we used to have one years ago call the Bruins but they were bought out by a man who is only concerned with hot dog sales!
it becomes a love hate thing as to who i likein the playoffs, lets see no southern teams, sorry hockey does not belong in Florida or San Jose, No NY teams they have 3 teams Isles/rangers/Devils sorry no Detroit, yes i know they love the sport but they have already tasted victory many times recently, sorry no Pittsburg, the city almost lost their second NHL francise, sorry no Buffalo, i know the fans have never tasted from the cup, however one of their biggest fans is bruins owner jeremy jacobs!
so the only team left is-------- go SENATORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Used to have the Hatford Whalers until '95, too. I guess that doesn't help since they're in Carolina now and didn't even make the playoffs this year.....
if pit doesnt lose anyone in the near future, they will dominate, i hope not but, malkin & crosby combo is unreal......
Don't forget about Marc Andre Fleury. He's a netminder that (in my eyes) has improved tremendously over the last couple of seasons. I'm not a Pitt. fan, but I do respect their abilities and realize that they are going to be a serious threat to other teams in the near future.
I also don't like to see teams lose competitiveness because they can't pay their players when they "grow out of their current worth" if you will. I'm a big fan of hockey in general, and would hate to see a team that looks to be having a revival, fall back into the depths of mediocrity.
I get a 40 of Crown Royal if Vancouver goes further than Calgary.
GO CANUCKS GO!!!
I know your location says Calgary, but are you originally a Vancouverite transplant? I have a couple buddies who moved up there during the Calgary "boom" (what 7 years ago now?) I'm sure Flames fans are real impressed when the Canucks show up with a bunch of transplanted Canucks fans.
