oil for power steering
Ford Type F automatic transmission fluid is what Ford recommended for the older power steering pumps. Rumor has it, that Ford did not want to stock two similar fluids at the factorys, and that is why they used their Type F, instead of another power steering fluid.
You can use the Type F if you can find it. I would not use the Mercon/Dexron. You can also use regular power steering fluid in it.
