Question 2007 20" Wheels on 2004 F250

My firend gave me his wheels and tires off of his 2007 F350 and I put them on my 2004 F250. When I turn the steering wheel all the way one way or another the tires are hitting the leaf springs. Does anyone know of any solutions that work? Thanks.

The reason is that beginning in 2005 Ford changed the backspacing because of the coilover suspension. That's why '05 and up wheels don't fit properly on '99-'04 Superduties.

There are wheel spacers out there that will make it fit, but it is NOT recommended for use on our trucks, especially if you tow at all. It's best if you take those off and put your original wheels back on, or purchase some aftermarket wheels with the proper backspacing.

How thick of spacers do you think I will need to put on in order to make it work?

In my opinion its just not worth it. Put your wheels on ebay and get some aftermarket wheels that will fit your truck properly. To much risk for not enough reward.

What about 1.5" wheel adapters, would those work?
