Marked ULSD as most should be by now. The fuel I've pumped is greenish in color, but I've also been informed that color is not standard and just because it's not green don't mean it's not ULSD???? Go figure.
Most all of the stations have already depleted their supply of LSD (No not the drug) as this switch was started Aug/Sept of 2006. When in doubt, Ask!

The green color is saying the federal fuel tax has been paid.
There are several fuel stations in the US that still have the LSD and ULSD. I just checked on the flying J web site and about 1/2 have both fuels. So just be carefull when fueling.
How do you check for the type of diesel sold at a Flying J? I just got on their website and found information on service centers in my area (Florida) but nothing on the type of diesel sold. Thanks
Go to www.flyingj.com then on left side of screen go to fuel pricing, go to diesel. This will show at the top of screen the different fuels. ULSD, LSD,biodiesel.
In FL. 4 out of 5 have both ULSD and LSD. Same price.

Thanks BigRed. Last time I pulled in a Florida service center they only had the old low sulfur fuel. Just checked per your instructions and happy to find they now carry both types of fuel.
I've read that it is FEDERAL LAW to label the pump, and several thousand dollar fine to have a pump mis-labeled. I can find the link if anyone's interested. As I recall today, distillers can still have 20% of their fuel sold as the old Low Sulphur Diesel.
