I have a 1992 F150, 302 that I am striping for parts. I am trying to remove the headlamp assemblies and have run into a road block. I have removed the two upper top screws and have unscrewed the three adjustment screws as the book I’m using had instructed but still can not seem to get the assembly out. The upper to screws, which hold the plastic frame do not allow for the frame to be removed as it is also secured on the bottom which can not be accessed until the entire assembly is removed. What am I missing? Diagram would be most helpful on removal if anyone has one. I have used the program “ALLData” and the Ford CD Manuel and both of them are no help on removal. Great for taking out the bulbs but that’s it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
There are 2 screws behind the rad support near the fenders, you have to pull the washer bottle or battery to get to these.. depending upon which side you are removing.
Thanks Conanski. I will take a look at this later today to see if that does the trick.
As for you quicklook2, perhaps you could give some helpful response rather than a sarcastic worthless response. FYI I did search just as the title is presented and found nothing close. Perhaps you could point me to one of these monthly posts that covers this seeing you know all about this. I also looked at a bunch of your replies and it appears you enjoy confrontation from others.
Perhaps the gentlemen could author a thread or article on how to best phrase a search query. Especially for some of the more common, redundant or complicated questions that arise continuously?
I'd be most interested in how better to tap the info here.
Or perhaps sometimes just provide a link to a thread you have subscribed?
I would like to publicly apologize to quicklook2 for my comments above. They were uncalled for and inappropriate. His post was a suggestion that was designed to help and not be sarcastic as I first thought. I know better having been on many forms boards before and should never try to understand tone of a conversation based on a few words. He was right, the post I needed was found with a search and if I was a little more patient I would have found it. Please accept my apology and rest assured I will search with patients next time. Thanks.
