There are four 12mm nuts holding the headlight assembly to the radiator support. Reach inside, and you can feel them.

Also, there are two, maybe three small screws at the top of the headlight surrounds, to the radiator support.

Take out the two screws (2) and the two nuts (9).

But the nuts are not the easiest to get to.

Removal and Installation
1. Remove two screws and two nuts retaining headlamp door (13064).
2. Pull headlamp door from vehicle. Remove three bulbs and sockets.
3. Disconnect engine control sensor wiring (12A581) from headlamp bulb (13007).
4. Remove two retainers attaching upper two attachments of headlamp (13008).
5. Turn horizontal headlamp adjusting screw (13032) completely out of the adjusting nut.
6. Pull headlamp from vehicle.
For installation, follow removal procedures in reverse order. Tighten screws to 1.4-2.3 N-m (13-20 lb-in). Tighten nuts to 4-7 N-m (36-61 lb-in). Check headlamp aim.

screw, bolt.. basically I meant how to you get to #11

I figured it out, had to take out the battery and try. Boy, that is a headlight design that was long over-due for a little redesign.

On the Passenger side you have to take out the Battery and move its tray back out of the way and then you can reach the #9 nuts.

On the Drivers side you have to remove the Windshield Washer container and then you can get to them.

You will need to use a 1/4" ratchet and use your fingernail to hold on to the nuts.

Good Luck

When I took the nose of my truck off to replace the fenders, I found most of the smaller nuts and bolts were rusted together. Was a real pita to work them all out, so for the headlight surrounds, when I reinstalled them, I use *NYLON* nuts instead of the regular steel automotive nuts. I got them in ace hardware.

Obviously, the nylon will never rust to the steel bolts/studs. And Nylon has a tendency to bite well on to the threads with no fear of them backing out on their own.

At least i know someday, I can get them off again. An one of the headlight surrounds I actually had to use a breaker bar. That was not a comfortable thing... I was waiting for the surround to split like a banana.

I am trying to change the headlight on the driver side of my '95 F150. I take the two screws off the top of the plastic trim and it seems as though it is still connected. Are there more screws?

You changing the bulb, or the whole lamp housing? If the latter, remove the 2 top screws and there are 2 nuts behind the radiator support in front of the washer bottle that need to come out. The headlamp bezel, turn signal and run light will come out as an assembly.

Good luck changing the lamp housing. I just changed both of mine and I ended up removing the housings while still attached to the header panel (black plactic). I then changed them with the header panel off the truck and reassembled.

I just need to change the bulb, not the whole thing. How would this procedure be different?
