can you make the E04D work if you make changes to the motor?
I want to remove the computer fuel and run a manifold carb setup,
long tube headers also.

why do you want to remove the efi ??? most 4x4 people with old rigs would kill for the efi -
EFI good things - works at angles - compensates for altitude changes -

carb good things ...... well I am still tring to think of some

good luck

You will not be able to use the E40D if you remove the computer. All of the tranny functions are controlled by the computer and input from the engine. Carbs are easy and reliable and EFI can be intimidating, but with a little bit of research EFI is fairly easy to troubleshoot. Post your issue and I will see if I can help.
