1991 Tailgate Problem
Hello, My tailgate was rotted out so I went to the Junk Yard to purchase another one. My old tailgate has the female spring clips on the tailgate and the male posts on the body. The tailgate I bought has the male spring clips. How do you get the bolts off that have the leashes connected to them? I need to put my old handle mechanism into the new tailgate. Please help, Thanks Dan

See, the problem is that My old tailgate has the 7/16 bolts that can be removed from both the leash and the frame to the female spring latch. But the junk yard tail gate has a smooth bolt that I believe was filled once attached to the tailgate. How do I remove the smooth bolt, so I can Replace it with my original setup? Any types of information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Dan
