2000 F250 4X4 DIESEL EXT CAB, 80K AUTO.

Im getting a few funny sounds that are annoying me on this used truck I just bought.

First one, while driving down the highway I hear a droaning sound thats very consistant sounds like an unbalanced washing machine coming from the trans area......Im thinking bad convertor??????


Secondly, when Im at a stop light and turn sharp right or left on take off while the wheels is turn I hear and feel a vibration from the front end, almost like its in four wheel dirve on dry pavement...........whats this????????

My truck is in mint condition and onyl has 80 k on her.

On the first question, I get a similar sound when the back windows of my CC are open. I've not experience that noise with my Ext. Cab.

Second question...I'd say bearings.

 

try to turn the front axels and see if your hubs are not stuck or locked.

 

Oh! I have that ocsillating type sound....it happens around 65-75 but its more of a vibration(very faint) and I didnt notice it until I towed for the first time. I dont know a better way to explain it but I can deal with it for now.
