96 PSD fuel tank q's

dual tank setup, do these trucks have fuel pumps in the tank???? I have only been using the rear tank since i got the truck, because the front tank is hard to fuel up(takes forever). I am going to be fixing that this weekend so I'd like to make sure everything works in there before I go dumping a bunch of fuel in there. Guage seems to work like it should.

no, these trucks have the fuel pump on top of the engine.

The FP is mechanical, it's in the valley of the engine like optracer100 says.

These trucks are difficult to fuel, always have been. I believe there is a mod to help with letting the air escape from tank during fueling, IDK, I've not done it, yet.

well i just made a "fix" (aka Scott did a little rigging) took out the little black tube from inside the fill neck, it was kinked. hopefully this does the trick.

The way Ford designed (and it does not work right) the filler neck, the fuel goes into the tank thru the black inner tube and air (is supposed) to exit the tank around the outside of the tube.
Check this out to do "FIX" that works. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...4x4-cc-ps.html
I can fill up at the commercial pumps with them running wide open until almost full (about 1/2 to 1 gal from full).
