rust problem

On my 97 there is a lot of rust developing on the body. I'm looking for a temporary fix just to make it look decent for a while as a work truck. The one spot that worries me the most is under the mirror where the old style mirrors used to be that rusted out. What does everyone suggest? Would sanding and painting these areas help?

I'd have to start with a product called "Rustmart" it's a rust inhibiter. You'll have to clean the serface, appl "Rustmart" I think it has to set 24 hours to cure. Myself then a light coat of body filler, little primer/sealer and paint should fix you up.

Check with Eastwood for a spot sandblaster. They work great and only make a spot the size of a quarter at a time.

Be careful of the majority of rust inhibitors out there, the only ones I know for a fact that really do what they claim are POR-15 and Rust Bullet. Ive tried a couple of the others and they weren't worth the price of the label on the can.
