I have the 17s on my truck, and I wouldn't upgrade for the simple reason that I don't want the reduced capacity! Ford says that trucks with the 18" and 20" wheels have a 500lb reduced towing capacity.

They look nice though!

Ill never be towing that much weight here. And the differences were only listed with 5.4L engine for some reason. Maybe only the larger wheels come on 5.4L equipped vehicles.

Less acceleration, less braking...not by a whole lot, but I prefer to get as much as I can!

if you are within 500 lbs of your max trailer weight without going over you win both showcases.

The 20 inch tires and wheels add a substantial amount of weight to the vehicle. If you want to find out, just do a tire rotation on a Lariat with 20 inch factory wheels and the Pirelli tires. You wont forget the experience.
