noise under acceleration

noise under acceleration
i'm hoping for a little info here. recently when i accelerate i get a noise that sounds almost like gurgling or gasping at around 2500-3000 rpms. my 02 explorer xlt accelerates fine, but the noise makes me wonder if something isn't going on that might cause problems down the road. any thoughts or suggestions? thanks.

Sounds like you have air in the cooling system, gurgles when the water is pushed through the air pocket, will happen even with all heat controls off.
You need to burp the truck, raising the front of the truck helps the proceedure.
Or, you can throw it over your shoulder and thump it's back, use towel on shoulder.
