2000 Lightning

Got a 2000 Lightning that just keeps dying. Idles ok but soon as you start to throttle up it stutters and will die. Both fuel pumps have been replaced as well as the fuel filter. Any guess?

Have you checked it for codes? What mods do you have on the truck? Custom tune?

Check to see if you have any codes, but off the top of my head, it could be a vacuum leak or maybe a tuning issue, bad COP causing it to die, or maybe even a bad plug.

Check your air filter to make sure you're getting good air. Take some CRC MAF cleaner and clean the MAF.

Do you have an aftermarket air filter? Did you recently clean and reoil it?

What about the fuel pump relay? Causes a lot of similar problems on Rangers when it bites the bullet.

Problem has been corrected, Some Yahoo (not ME) had it to the Stealership and they left a ground wire dangling, Hooked it up and away we go.

Thanks for the help.

A ground wire? Which wire was left unconnected that caused this problem?
