My 99 f-250sd 4wd developed a problem yesterday. The steering wheel is getting harder and harder to turn. There is a noise coming from right below the wheel like a rubbing, grinding noise. The steering will sometimes grab and not want to turn but it is like driving an old 1 1/2ton truck with manual steering, only harder.Started to start pulling the wheel and go on down until I found the problem. only problem is the airbag. Don't know anything about these. Question is there a needle bearing or something on this shaft that could be seizing? Should this be a fairly quick fix at a reputable shop. Truck only has 61,000 miles on it. Thanks for any help
