Hi Everyone,
I think I'm entering this question in the wrong thread, sorry but please help me.
This is my first time posting and I'm new to this process so bare with me. I have a Production 1988 460 engine I beleive its the D9TE series. My question is if I use a carb set up to take the place of my EFI, do I have to change the heads if I go with a carb setup on my 88, and if so can someone tell me why. Thanks in advance for the knowlege.

Welcome to FTE Greg

I've moved your question to a more suitable forum for you. The guys here will be able to help.
I haven't worked on a 460 in a long time but I'm sure that the intake ports are different on EFI heads vs carbed heads so I don't think you can just bolt on a carb intake manifold.
Hopefully someone here will have some more info for you though.

yep, racerguy is right, you have to change heads and exhaust manifolds to run a carb intake... try it and youll find out why
exhaust was changed on the heads as well as the intake, so the efi manifolds dont work with the carb heads
