i have a 2004 f150 xlt 4X4. it has 48000 miles on it.
the problem i have is it makes a grinding noise when i drive, doesnt matter how fast, but it stops when i stop. it sounds like a bad stick driver. grinding gears then finally finds the gears.
there is nothing wrong with the transmission. rpm's are fine. when they shift gears that is fine too.
the noise comes and goes when it wants.
i checked the front differential fluid and its gray. a little of color if you ask me.
please help im tired of the noise
