The dual system is all S/S as well. The muffler has a high polish finish along with the tips, which are ovals instead of the round one on the single system.
Just an update on my problems with the hanger brackets from Banks...
Banks will not provide custom brackets to fit my truck. Apparently the engineering department has been made aware of the problems with the 2004's that have the factory hitch and they have decided to either let the owners have a local muffler shop fab up custom hangers or refund your money on the system.
I have decided to have the local muffler shop fix the brackets and re-alsign the tips so they are perfectly alighned and straight. The system sounds just too good to take it off...
I'll post the cost, but I don't suspect that it will be much more than an hour to do the work. They basically just have to cut and extend the end of the hangers another inch outward and everything will be perfect.
GOT IT ON!!! A little on the large side...but it grow on you I guess. Sounds great, couldn't be happier with the sound. No droaning in the cab, relatively quiet while cruising 55-60mph...but it'll thump when you get on it. I LIKE!! Now, once I get past burning all the oily stuff out of it, I'll be okay....stinks. Just put about 70 miles on it, doing a few car passes up to 85-90 buried. I love it when the tranny shifts up just as your pipe is at the window of the car you're passing!!! Better yet when it's at the window of a chevy or dodge!! hehe ;-) Nice stickers too....I didn't do the 'badge' method...instead I put one under my F-150 badge on the tailgate....I'm a 42 year old kid!!! My wife is gonna want to drive it all the time now...I'll be stuck with the Liberty. I'm glad I didn't go with Gibson, I had em before and liked em, until I heard this....still good, but this is more my taste. If you ain't got a Banks, go get one.
They're the raised, cleared over type stickers too!!! Hahaha. I normally would not have put them on, but they did look quite stylish...so I did one.
It also came with the oval tip rather than the round tip....don't know what the standard is. I'll put a pic up later...don't know nothing bout sound clips.
I should say the sound is more like a full grown Mustang...deep and rumbly but not too intrusive.

Got mine on over the weekend and I love it. Like you said, it really sounds awesome. I did have some problems with the tail pipe hangers, but I got the system installed. Not exactly perfect, but it will do till I can do some fabrication work on the hangers to make them perfect.
As soon as I fired it up, I had to take it for a run. It actually sounds better than my Chevelle, which is nice as I drive the truck daily and he Chevelle is more of a summer time fun car. The truck has more of a deep tuned sound rather than just loud and popping. I didn't have any oil on my pipes to burn off, as they were clean out of the box with plastic protective ends and packed in foam. I guess I wouldn't see it anyway, as they exit straight out the back.
I didn't install the stickers, as I'm more of a stealth guy, well, sort of a stealth guy. I want them to have to look for the changes, although the big ovals out the back are a bit of a give away.
FYI, I did get a call back from Banks today to follow-up on my problem, which was very nice. Actually, its the first time I've ever gotten a call back from a parts manufacturer. I wasn't around to take the call, but I will call them back tomorrow and see what they say.
Good deal Doogie....my muffler evidentally had oil in the mesh....got a nice baked on residue in the tip this morning....I think it's bout gone now, no more sticky residue.
Tylus....I'm E-8 in the CG. I am the Officer in Charge of a multi-mission station. Same as a CO. CO and OIC are synonimous in the CG Regs....they save money that way ;-) I have about 32 folks, a 47' motor lifeboat, 41' boat, 25' response boat, and about 20 drilling reservists. My folks conduct SAR/Federal LE/HLS for my area....which is around Cape Lookout NC, about 70 miles of coastline out 50 miles and all the inland water as well. I have a personal 19 footer and am the captain on a 50 foot sportfisher (keep it here for the owner, treat it as my own, just don't have to pay to catch marlin and tuna!)
My dad just put a new banks monster exhaust on his 05 short box reg cab fx4. I think it's the best combination between exhaust sound and practicality. It has a deep throaty tone to it, yet isn’t terribly loud nor does it sound like a mumble jumbled racket of loose pipes. It has a very controlled tone and is by no means too loud to make your in-cabin experience unpleasant. I do not think the tip is too big at all as it blends in well with the wide tall sides of the box. I’m getting a new F-150 tomorrow, and I definitely plan to put the banks monster exhaust on it this summer.
