The shorted plugs were #3 and #6 again. They look good and I tryed checking them with a ohm meter. They have about 6000 ohms, and the old have only 3500 - 4000 ohms.
Thats 6000 ohms from the plugs or the leads?
You also said plugs #3 & 6 AGAIN, so root cause probably has nothing to do with the plugs ?

Reason: update
I didn't think that was a short either but they wont fire when I reinstall them. The wires are new, switch from Beldon 8mm wire to Autolite Professional Series. Its just for what ever the reason the plugs foul up on the number 3 and 6. I use Mobile 1 oil, Seaform gas additive and Motorcraft and Autolite plugs only. Test ever thing with a Breakout box. The resistance for the injector was off by .1
4.0 -5.5 ohms listed I got 5.6 ohms on both banks.

Do other plugs that you install into those cylinders get fouled as well? If so, maybe it's time to run compression checks on the engine. Repeated fouling of the plugs means that something in those cylinders, like water or oil, may be getting onto the plugs.
It pass emissions but I was getting major water loses. I guess I look for another engine this summer. I have 257,000 miles. Its running great with the 2 autolite and 4 motorcraft plugs.
