steering stabilizer
what do you guys recommend for 35" tires? my stabilizer has a leak and has nothing left in it. would a dual system be better than a single? which dual? if single i found a fox racing stabilizer, i know they are known for offroading would that be better? (fox=$140)
Superlift has a dual setup for about $100, I have this one and it is awesome. I would recommend a dual stabilizer if youre going to be running 35" or bigger tires, it is alot easier to turn and puts less strain on your steering components. Hope this helps.
A dual system is not necessary unless you're off-roading alot. A good single setup works just as well as a dual, if not better. If you get a good single set up they give it a slight positive charge that gently pushes the steering left so you don't wander to the right down the crown of the road toward the ditch/gutter. Larger tires tend to make a big truck do this. KORE makes a system for the Dodge, but it works on the Ford as well. Fox and Edge both make a replacement front stabilizer that is longer than the stocker. You just have to unbolt the stock mount on the tie rod and slide it down 6" or so on the tie rod and bolt it back on. Ten minutes and you're done.
I run 37" tires and the single stabilizer is plenty. I'm running the Fox 2.0 stabilizer and it has the positive charge like I was talking about and it's nice for long road trips so I don't have to constantly correct the steering from wandering a bit . Got mine online for around $120 with free shipping. The Fox is rebuildable unlike the rest, that sold me right there. PM for website as I don't think they are a sponsor.
