48 newbie..
Hi all..
Going to get my uncles 48 F1 / Flatbed running one of these days. It has been inop since 1975 when the brake master went. He died 12 year after that and my Auntie gave me the truck. It has been in a garage since then, but i had to move it out last year as they needed the garage space now.. so I may as well get it running.
It is all stock and everything is in place. It has a Flat 6 and 3 speed. I lub'd and sprayed oil in the cyl and put some gas down the carb.. turned it over and it start to run after cleaning the plug and cranking for a while to get the oil moving.. I have not tried it since.
I need to rebuild the brake system and fuel/carb. Convert to 12 volts
Need suggestion on how to convert to 12 volts (step down or convert completely?)

It`s really great to see you still have it, I haven`t gotten very far on my 53 either. 
It looks in nicer shape than what`s normally found, especially around here. Hopefully you found answers here on FTE and it`ll be on the road again soon.
