Dash removal

I am trying to install a cd deck in my 2002 F150, and I am having a hard time removing the dash. Does anyone know where I can find out where to go to start this process (prefferably with diagrams). I would pay someone to install it, but since I just bought my first truck I don't have any more money! Thanks for your help.

Dash removal

I just put a Alpine CD player in my 02 F150. I watched the guy install it so I could save myself the $45 next time. He basically pulled the dash off with his finger nails. The part that comes off is the area of dash that surrounds the radio, air controls and two vents. It literaly just pulls off, and snaps in. Most aftermarket radios need a kit to fill all the dead space. That costs around $30. I have had all of my stereo equipment on two ford trucks done at Soudtrack (ulimate electronics-depending on where you live) and they have done a good job. You will also need to get a wiring harnes to connect the aftermarket stereo to the existing facotry wires. Crutchfield.com also has diagrams that you can order, which seem to be the best for do it yourselfers. Good luck

thanks for the tip, I also have an Alpine that was in my old car (so I have the mounting equipment) but I was looking for bolts or something. Well then, I'm off to rip out my dash! I appreciate your time and help!
