I was replacing the rear main seal and just realized, I've got cup holder envy.

What I really don't understand is, with the overwhelming popularity of these trucks, why there isn't a good aftermarket solution to this seemingly common problem?

If anyone has any pics or drawings of a cup holder they made I would greatly appreciate it. I need some ideas on making my own. It's hard holding startbucks in the morning with a cigarette and shifting gears!!!!

Supply and demand my friend. It may seem like theres a huge demand for these cup holders but thats only because you are being exposed to a large portion of the old Ford pickup owners on a daily basis on these forums. In the grand scheme, there really aren't that many of us out there. But yeah, it would be nice if someone made other accessories that could fit on those posts....

Good point, I guess you're right...

My problem is, my bench doesn't even have these posts??? I have no way to even utilize one the rare factory units?

It appears that the posts can be added? Maybe someone will correct me if I'm wrong here, but that 2nd ebay auction that I posted said that it included the posts for mounting the cup holder... Maybe these posts can be purchased from the stealership?

Not even the slightest clue... I'm on campus at school right now but I can take a look when I get back to my apartment later at what they appear to be mounted to.

Yeah if I recall correctly there is a hole for a driver in the end of the studs, like a torx hole or something. Again, this is all speculation... But maybe they can be screwed out?? Or maybe they don't have a driver hole in the end!! I dunno!

Whats a mater with ebaying I have 92 -97 ford Trucks search saved and it only takes 10 minutes to check the newly listed items . I also do Bronco to they seen to have more goodies. And less after market stuff.

You can bolt them to about any seat if have the torx mount bolts . There were small and large cup holders. Boy I wish I kept all those ones I trashed.6 or so floor mats to $$$ They were always in way for me. Now I go buckets and console route.

Can you elaborate a bit on that statement? My bench seat is all "soft" along the front edge, nothing firm for a bolt or screw to bite into...
