Recently bought a 2002 F350, CC, 7.3L PSD, 6-sp ZF, DRW with 50k miles, and the motor warantee runs out in July. Although there are no problems, I'm thinking of bringing to dealer for a check-out before warantee expires. Any thoughts? Any specific issues/repairs I should shoot for? I assume that the factory warantee does not include maintenance.
My warrenty just ran out on my 2002 in Feb. I thought like you did that I would take it to the dealer and just have a few little things checked out. Wound up costing me more in deductables than it was worth. I've learned so much through here I wouldn't take it back to the dealer anyway. I was almost glad to see the warrenty go because now I can do mods and not worry about it effecting the warrenty.
Thanks rad1026. I'm the same way; I never bring our vehicles for service and prefer to DIY. I haven't had a vehicle on warantee in many years, and thought maybe this is an opportunity.
Maybe I'll just verify that all recall and TSB work is complete.
