Back on topic - Sorry OP, I didn't mean to take us so far off topic. When I install a rebuilt 390 in there I'll go dual and dump them out in front of the rear wheels. that looks tough. For now, a single exhaust out the passenger side with the 27 in glass pack looks, sounds, and works very good. I'll snap a picture and post tomorrow.

Dont know about the cherry bombs or the 302, but im running a single 2 1/2" thrush glasspack on my 351w, all stock and still running the old restritive 351 dual cat converters. Its quiet once you get up to highway speed (dont hear inside the car) and when your accelerating 1500 is loud but if you go up to 2000 its even louder. Given the car was quiet without a muffler on the cats are seriously killing the volume. I think it sounds great though. But I have no tail pipe it ends right under the rear seat infront of the rear axle. When I pull the engine im going to have dual pipes runned with dual thrust glasspacks with a H-pipe. Might run headers not sure. but Im thinking 2 1/2" pipes dual would be too much since im keeping the engine fairly stock now. Was going to stroke it and do all this other go fast mods.
