What are the biggest tires that will fit on the stockers without getting a lift? Does the 4x2 have torsion bars which can be cranked to allow more room on the front end? Can anyone give me some advice?
no torsion bars. you've got coil-overs. look on ebay for Autosprings. or go here. they make the best leveling kit. Period. Cost me $89, s/h included in that.
you should be able to fit 33" tires right now, the leveling kit will make it look prettier though. with a 2.5 leveling kit, 34" tires will fit, but you run the risk of rubbing if you get wider than OEM rubber. 33" are a nice tire.
btw, in case you didn't know, most stockers come with 31.8" tires
I did it in my driveway with 2 jackstands and a floor jack. you will need to buy a few bigger sockets (the directions are very specific, they tell you exactly what size to use.)
oh, and get an alignment later to prevent uneven tire wear
